About WebBalanced Technologies.

WebBalanced Technologies is an organization based in Fort Wayne, Indiana. The concept for the initial Home & Family product was born in the summer of 1997. While developing a children's software product, several programmers began following companies who were coming to market with products to protect children and their families from objectionable content on the Internet. After some preliminary research, it became apparent that truly safe Internet browsing software did not exist in the commercial marketplace. With this belief the initial charter was to develop a product that offers parents the freedom from worrying about what their children are exposed to on the Internet, while providing access to all that is good on the Web. For WebBalanced Technologies there was only one truly viable solution: physically review Web sites and categorize them for content.

WebBalanced Technologies was founded on the principles of Safety, Freedom and Choice. We also use encryption when collecting or transferring sensitive data such as credit card information.

On our Web site, you can order products or services, make requests, and register to receive materials. The types of personal information collected at these pages are name, contact and billing information, transaction, and credit card information.

In order to tailor our subsequent communications to you and continuously improve our products and services, we may also ask you to voluntarily provide us with information regarding your personal or professional interests, demographics, experiences with our products, and contact preferences.

How we use it

WebBalanced Technologies, LLC and/or its designated agents will use your information to assist in the setup of your account and provide you with better service. Credit card numbers are used only for payment processing and are not retained for other purposes.

As previously stated, we will also provide you the opportunity to let us know if you do not wish to receive unsolicited direct marketing materials from us and we will do everything we can to honor such requests. Your permission is always secured first should we ever share your personally identifiable information with third parties that are not acting on our behalf and governed by our privacy policy. For example, as part of our commitment to offering you choice, we enable you to make online purchases directly from us or through our resellers.
